“Keep on speaking, do not be silent” by @luchojai on @LinkedIn

At these unresting times, many are just going bersek, the society seems upside down, the bad is good, and the good is bad, there is the need to speak out and not remain shut, as we may see, many of ‘the secret agents of God” are doing, and I say so, because no one knows who they are, they are invisible.

This society have forbidden to even mention the name that can save us from this chaos we live in, from this wreck. That name that will save us, is Jesus.  In His name, you may be redeemed, delivered, healed, restored, forgiven, and made anew. So why are we believers being set aside? And why are we not allowed to talk about Him, being Him the redeemer, the savior, the way, the truth, and the life?

Soon, in a couple of months a new movie is being released, “God is not dead, 2”. In it, we see a reflection of today’s society, a school teacher being mocked, rejected, threaten to lose her teaching credentials, and basically kicked out of school, for just giving an answer, an historical answer about Jesus. A student in her class immediately sent a text message accusing the teacher of speaking about the name of Jesus.

But she stood firm to the end, went to trial, basically alone, even though she was not alone, and got the victory. And it was victory because it was a ferocious court fight, between the darkness, or rather, the power of hell, and the light being threaten, and as it is written, it will not prevail (Matthew 16:18).

In the Book of Acts 18:9-10 it is written One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.

The almighty God manifests Himself to Paul in a vision at night and tells him these words: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent…”.

This is a double declaration, or rather, a double affirmation of an action that is needed. Paul, keep on talking, do not shut up, just keep on talking. It was Paul against the ruling power of the society at his time, which is basically the same as ours today. We know the enemy, our spiritual enemy, the devil, makes people reject you, and tells you: “Do not speak, be silent…”. God’s revelation makes sense, because immediately He tells Paul, “…because I have many people in this city.

There is a connection between verses 9 and 10, very profound and spiritual, because darkness are to be removed out of the way, so people get to listen to theGood News and get eternal salvation. But if we remain shut, nothing will happen. Look at the promise in verse 10, “For I am with you”. It is the same declaration from God in the Old Testament, in Joshua 1:5, 6, 7, 9.

So when people start mocking you because you are a Christian, a believer, and give false testimony, and reject you, remember God’s words “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you”.

Dear believer, be filled with the Holy Spirit, do not let your vessel be fragile or empty. Be a vessel of honor, and make a difference in today’s world.

God bless you as you do.
